History of SDCH
SDCH is one of the first hospitals in the state to be accepted for Medicare. By this time, SDCH has 80-bed capacity, 150 employees, and a payroll of one-half million dollars.

South Davis Community Hospital, Inc. officially incorporates as a nonprofit corporation on 22 December 1960. The organization was endowed for the express purpose of providing a public, nonprofit hospital designed to provide local residents with complete and modern hospital services.
First discussions were held in 1950 by area physicians on the need for a hospital in Bountiful.
