South Davis Hospice joins the Home Health division in 1997, and has since helped numerous patients and families cope with end of life issues.
The hospital organization opens a new division, South Davis Home Health, providing a full range of home health services to citizens of Davis, Salt Lake and Weber counties.
A three story expansion adjacent to the original existing hospital, which also received an extensive renovation in both structure and decor, is completed in response to demand for more beds. The expansion doubles bed capacity to 150 and the SDCH organization now employs 300 health care workers and professionals.

The Board and staff of South Davis Community Hospital host a ground breaking ceremony for constructing a three story addition to the hospital, with remarks by Governor Norm Bangerter. The expansion doubles the size of the hospital’s current facility and creates up to a 150 new jobs.
SDCH has served as a clinical teaching and training site for students since at least 1988 – perhaps even further back into our history. We provide valuable learning opportunities to over 500 nursing and respiratory therapy students annually from five colleges throughout Salt Lake, Weber and Davis counties.
