Volunteers work closely with our Recreational Therapy Department and may play games with patients, encourage attandance at activities and assist patients during the actitivty, assist patients or their family to document the patient's life history or healing esperience, or use electronic resources to allow patients to enjoy the therapeutic healing benefits of music from their preferred genre, under the guidance of a professional music therapist.
One-On-One Reading: If you have a love of books and stories, a genuine interest in offering children or adults quiet, literacy-realted healing time, and have strong communication skills in English or another language, please consider this volunteering opportunity.
Spa Services: Spa Service Volunteers may pamper our patients by assisting to dry and brush their hair, apply light makeup and by painting nails.
