1961 Opens as South Davis County's first acute care hospital
1977 Re-opens as South Davis Community Care Skilled Nursing Center
1980 Licensed as Utah's first Sub-acute Specialty Hospital
1981 Begins admitting patients from Primary Children's Medical Center
1993 New 40,000 square foot building opens as an addition to the Hospital
1994 South Davis Home Health opens to broaden continuum of care
1996 South Davis Hospice is added to the services offered on campus
1999 Inn on Barton Creek, a 62-apartment Senior Assisted Living Center, opens
2000 SDCH initiates Pediatric Transitional Care Program in collaboration with University of Utah Department of Pediatrics
2001 South Davis Child Care Center opens to serve employee and community child care needs
2002 Hospital Licensed as first Utah Long Term Acute Care Facility
2003 Orchard Cove Alzheimers Community opens (Alzheimers service discontinued April, 2010)
2003 Telemedicine Program developed with University Medical Center

 

2005 Hospital and Campus affiliate staffing exceeds 600 employees
2007 SDCH opens Orthopaedic Rehabilitation unit on campus
2009 SDCH establishes a Charitable Foundation
2009 SDCH receives national Step 1 Quality Award 
2010 Orchard Coved re-opens as totally dedicated Orthopaedic Rehabilitation facility
